We’ve been together for 23 years, during which we’ve raised two beautiful children and a pup — our greatest accomplishments. Bennie has spent most of his life working a blue‑collar labor job, while Lisa has dedicated nearly 20 years to caring for others in the healthcare field.

About seven years ago, a unique opportunity came our way: we were invited to work on a movie set as catering assistants. With our shared passion for food, it quickly became an incredible experience. We did such a great job that they kept calling us back. For the first three years, we catered for the film industry, cooking two meals a day for some of the biggest stars on screen — serving crews from 50 people to more than 400.

From there, we joined Local IATSE 481 in the Crafty department. We went from serving breakfast and lunch to keeping cast and crew fueled around the clock with coffee, snacks, and everything in between. Working in this industry has been surreal. We’ve met extraordinary people and learned countless new skills from chefs who travel from all over the country to feed film sets. We’ve cooked in the forest in the middle of the night, grilled on the busy streets of downtown Boston, and served meals along the shores of Cape Cod. Long days on set — sometimes 16 to 20 hours — taught us to be creative, think on the fly, improvise, and always prioritize quality over quantity.

All of that has led us to our next adventure: opening our own Ice Cream Parlor on Wheels, bringing together everything we love — from ice cream, acai, fresh baked sweet treats, to dirty popcorn, all crafted with heart and ready to serve you.
